Guide to Selecting the Parameters of Your New Table

Selecting the right type of solid wood can often be quite challenging, just like choosing the appropriate finish—whether it's for the tabletop or the metal base of your dining table or coffee table. Let’s go through the specific options you’ll find in the parameter selection of our products and what they actually mean.

All parameters are selected because our tables (with a few exceptions) are not kept in stock but are custom-made for each client. Your table will always be a unique piece that you won’t find anywhere else.

Table Selection

First, choose your desired dining table or coffee table. Great! You've completed the first step. However, to deliver a product that meets all your expectations, we need to clarify a few details. Below the short description of each table in our offer, you'll find a dropdown menu that needs to be filled in. This ensures we have all the necessary information upfront, without the need for additional follow-ups.

Tabletop Size

The first detail we need from you is the size of the tabletop. While this may seem straightforward, consider important factors such as the available space where you plan to place the table and ensuring enough room for the required number of chairs. Smaller sizes are ideal for compact apartment kitchens, while larger spaces allow for more spacious dimensions.

Our dining tables typically range from 150 x 90 cm to 250 x 100 cm, giving you plenty of options. Keep in mind that the price of your selected table will adjust accordingly based on the chosen size.

Surface finish

The next parameter to consider is the wood shade. Naturally, different types of solid wood vary in their natural tones. However, this option does not refer to the selection of the wood species itself but rather its surface finish.

You can choose from the following options:

Natural Yellow (Oil Treatment)

Our selection includes a no-extra-cost option: Natural Yellow (oil treatment), along with a second choice – Transparent Smooth Lacquer.

For the first option, the wood is treated with a certified food-safe oil, ensuring safety and eliminating concerns about harmful substances. However, proper care is essential for oiled wood. Using appropriate cleaning agents and thoroughly drying the surface after cleaning is crucial.

  • Appearance & Texture: oiled wood has a matte look and feels slightly rougher to the touch.
  • Color Effect: the oil slightly enhances the natural yellowish tint of the wood.
  • Maintenance: over time, oiled wood may require reapplication to maintain its protective layer and aesthetic appeal.

Transparent Smooth Lacquer

Unlike oil treatment, lacquering preserves the original color of the selected wood while providing a completely smooth finish. The applied lacquer is food-safe certified, ensuring it meets the highest safety standards.

  • Appearance & Texture: The matte finish gives the wood a refined look, while the surface remains completely smooth to the touch.
  • Durability: This is the most resistant surface treatment, offering enhanced protection against stains, moisture, and scratches.
  • Easy Maintenance: The lacquer prevents dirt from penetrating the wood, allowing for regular cleaning with standard household products. You won’t have to worry about water rings or stains.
  • Pricing: This surface treatment comes with an additional charge of 490 CZK.

Metal Shade

When selecting the metal finish, you are choosing the surface treatment of your table’s metal legs, not their shape. We offer two high-quality options: black and white, both finished with premium powder coatings imported from Italy.

  • Black Matte Powder Coating (9005 FS) – A deep matte black finish that enhances the industrial aesthetic of your table.
  • White Matte Powder Coating (9016 MAT) – A crisp matte white finish for a clean and modern look.

Both finishes provide excellent durability, are resistant to scratches, and are easy to maintain. This customization option comes with an additional charge of 2,500 CZK.

Tabletop Edge Options

The last customization step for your new dining table is selecting the edge finish of the tabletop. Since preferences vary, we offer three different options for the tabletop edge to match your style:

  • Straight Edge – A clean, standard edge cut at a 90-degree angle, giving your table a classic and sleek look. This option is included at no extra charge.

  • Natural Edge – The edge of your tabletop is left in its original, raw shape, just as it was cut in our workshop. This option preserves the natural curves and imperfections of the wood, resulting in a unique and organic look. The surface is carefully sanded smooth to eliminate roughness or splinters. This option comes with an additional charge of 150 CZK.

  • Beveled Edge (60° Angle) – For a modern and sophisticated aesthetic, we bevel the tabletop edge at a 60° angle, creating a sleek and lightweight appearance. This premium edge detail adds a refined touch to your dining table. You can see an example of this finish on our Boozer table model. This option is available for an additional charge of 2,500 CZK.
